Evaluation of ECG-based Recognition of Cardiac Abnormalities using Machine Learning and Deep Learning
Around the world, the most common cause of death is due to heart disease. To reduce the risk of death, it is critical to analyze and predict heart diseases. The proposed approach introduces a novel technique to detect anomalies in Electrocardiogram signals and classify cardiac conditions (17 - classes) from 1000 fragments of ECG signals from 45 patients in the MIT-BIH Arrhythmia database.
Active stereo vision-based 3D reconstruction for image-guided surgery
We propose the 3D sensing system using active stereo vision to get the 3D model of human body parts and surgical tools. This article presents the 3D scanner based on active stereo vision utilized for image guided surgery. The proposed system comprises of a pair of cameras (stereo camera) and the projector to record images of the target object placed at a specific distance. The proposed approach also includes the pre-calibration of the stereo camera for removing the distortion from the image data using non-linear method. We have performed the camera calibration of stereo camera using undistorted image data to estimate camera parameters using chessboard target.
Walking algorithm using gait analysis for 17 Dof Humanoid Robot (IEEC-2022MDPI)
People have been fascinated with humanoid robots for over two decades. They are expected to assist and collaborate with humans in the future. However, due to the limitations and complications of bipedal humanoids’ walking mechanisms, this goal is still a long way off. In this paper, we have presented a walking mechanism algorithm using gait analysis to mimic the human walking pattern and applied that knowledge to enable the 17-DoF bipedal humanoid robot to walk in a constraint environment.
Networked gaming using haptic feedback with multiplayer (IEEC-2022 MDPI)
Motor parametric calculation for robot locomotion (IEEC-2022 MDPI)
Motor selection is an important step in designing a mobile robot since it governs the payload capacity of the robot. In this paper, a method is presented for the calculation of motor parameters when the robot payload is known and the motor is to be selected. The article also deals with the case when a motor is available and its corresponding payload is to be calculated. A motor load profile with varying speeds is presented to plot its change in torque and mechanical power.
Engagement detection and enhancement using computer vision, augmented reality, and haptics (Submitted in Image and Vision Computing Elsevier)
STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) based education is being revolutionized with the rapid development of the applications of intelligent Haptics. Theoretical knowledge may now be put into practice, and complex ideas can now be presented using three-dimensional models that are enhanced in the actual environment via Augmented Reality (AR) and computer Haptics to enhance the student's interest in concepts and studies.
